Hello! I’m Dr Chris Puo Nen Lim, a UK-trained consultant dermatologist. I completed my dermatology training in the West of Scotland and have undertaken a one-year Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship in Newcastle. I also hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Internal Medicine with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh and am currently completing a Masters in Skin Ageing and Aesthetic Medicine at the University of Manchester.
My clinical interests include general dermatology, skin cancer, skin surgery, skin of colour and aesthetic dermatology. Whether you’re seeking help for a chronic skin condition, a suspicious mole, or cosmetic skin concerns, my aim is to provide an accurate diagnosis, explain your condition clearly and create a personalised treatment plan that suits your needs.
I am passionate about making dermatology more accessible, particularly at a time when many patients face long waiting times for NHS care. Alongside my clinical work, I create evidence-based educational content to help people better understand their skin and challenge common skincare myths. I have a particular interest in improving awareness of skin conditions in skin of colour and encouraging more men to engage with their skin health.
I believe seeing a dermatologist should feel reassuring rather than intimidating. I strive to provide a friendly, approachable environment where you feel listened to and confident in the decisions we make together.
Outside of work, I love travelling and discovering different cultures through their food. Whether it’s finding a hidden local restaurant or trying to recreate a dish at home, you’ll often find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
